Liverpool Biennial presents two new works by Associate Artists Frances Disley and Stephen Sheehan.
Stephen presents ‘Step Ladder’, a durational performance in which the artist will climb and descend a ladder at the centre of a continuously revolving train under the rhythmic sound of the church bells. Sheehan takes the definition of time as his inspiration: “the indefinite continued progress of existence regarded as a whole”. This performance takes place from 19:30 – 21:00.
Frances Disley’s ‘Charcoal Heather / Therma-Sphere Max’ invites the audience to become immersed in a new artwork – an “expanded painting”. Inspired by mindfulness techniques, the artist will guide you on a sensory journey through the use of texture, smell and sound. This performance takes place from 21:00 – 21:30.
