18:45 – 20:30 Choirs & Reverend Cleve Freckleton

20:45 – 23:00 DJ Greg Wilson

Bridging past, present and future through song and dance, The Super Sonic Assembly showcases the evolution of music since WWII.  This fun, interactive family event features choirs, community participation and a blistering DJ set of great music (from then and now) by Greg Wilson.

The Super Sonic Assembly begins with a number of community choir groups from across Merseyside (18:45 – 20:30), taking you back in time to the 1940s before the Reverend Cleve Freckleton performs his own ‘World Gone Crazy’, as well as tipping his hat to the Summer of Love via the Beatles’ ‘A Little Help from my Friends’, ending with an improvised piece where everyone – audience included – is encouraged to join in, creating a vast aural harmonic experience.

Music selections from DJ Greg Wilson accompany each decade of music, drawing the evening to a climactic close with a special DJ set from 20:45 – 23:00.
