Pop up food market that includes some of Liverpool’s favourite food folk and provides a taster of the great producers, makers and sellers of food from the region.
Liverpool Scran is a Liverpool Food People project supported by Defra to promote and celebrate Great British produce. Liverpool has a diverse food heritage, courtesy of our cultural mix of peoples and our own somewhat independent attitude.
The Liverpool Scran project aims to raise the profile of the many hidden food gems within our city region – ranging from supper clubs to markets, junk food cafes to specialist cheese shops, makers of Scouse, bakers of bread, creators of the Maclair, the Homebaked Pie and the best bagels outside New York. Visit their pop up market at and pick up one a food trail map, do a little food shopping from stallholders including Liverpool Cheese Company and HomeBaked Anfield and join in with drop in workshops and a food talk from Michelle O’Dwyer from Bay Tree Catering and Annie Levy from Kitchen Counter Culture; plus advice on food growing from the Waterloo Forest Community Garden and Incredible Edible Childwall Valley.
Come and try, buy and ask questions! It’s TIME to discover Liverpool’s food people.
