A Message from Us
LightNight 2020: Home, which was due to take place on Friday 15 May is postponed indefinitely. This decision has been made in line with government advice to support efforts to reduce the spread of COVID-19/Coronavirus.
We are very disappointed to postpone what was shaping up to be an incredible programme of events and experiences for all, but the health of our audiences, artists, staff, volunteers and partners is our priority.
Over the coming weeks and months, we will be dedicating the collective energy of our small team at Open Culture to determine how best to adapt to the situation as it unfolds and will make further announcements later in the year.
We are very grateful to the hundreds of amazing artists and organisations we have been working with to develop the programme over the past 11 months and we’re very thankful for the support from LightNight funders Arts Council England and Liverpool City Council, our principal sponsor Liverpool John Moores University, sponsor Liverpool Bid Company, and partners Merseyrail, University of Liverpool and Culture Liverpool.
Everyone who has purchased a LightNight Festival Guide or Merch Pack will be refunded automatically, but if you would like to make a donation to LightNight instead you can do so via Paypal here.
Thank you for your support and understanding, and we hope that you and your loved ones stay safe and well. Let’s look out for each other and show kindness in this difficult time.
Charlotte, Christina and Rachael
